James Mercado to Share Vision for Veteran Stability at 2026 VCTF Gala

We are incredibly proud to announce that our President, James Mercado, has been invited as a featured guest speaker for the upcoming “Light the Path: No One Walks Alone” 2026 Gala.

This prestigious event, hosted by the Veterans Care Trust Fund (VCTF), is a powerful evening dedicated to connection, purpose, and celebration. The theme, "Light the Path," is more than a slogan—it is a promise that no veteran, survivor, or military family will have to face life's hardships in isolation.

James Mercado’s presence at the gala highlights his long-standing reputation as a quiet force for good in the veteran community. For years, James has led ProVisor with a philosophy of empowerment through education.

His approach goes beyond business; he focuses on providing veterans with:

An Evening of Powerful Voices

The 2026 Gala will bring together a diverse group of leaders whose work illuminates the challenges and victories within the veteran community. James will be sharing the stage with other esteemed advocates:

• Shannon Hough: The founder of Shield of Sisters and a powerful advocate for survivors of Military Sexual Trauma (MST). She has built a national movement focused on healing, truth, and ensuring survivors are never forced to navigate their journey alone.
  

  Travis West: A veteran and founding partner of West & Dunn. Known as a "protector of those who protected us," Travis is a relentless legal advocate who fights to restore benefits and dignity to veterans who have been dismissed or denied by the system.

The Gala Experience: Purpose and Celebration

Beyond the inspiring speakers, the event promises to be an unforgettable experience at the Kalahari Resorts & Conventions in Wisconsin Dells.

The evening begins with a welcome reception, followed by a gourmet multi-course dinner:

• Appetizer: A fresh salad course featuring baby spinach and spring mix with bacon, walnuts, aged cheddar, and warm bacon vinaigrette.
• Main Entrée Selections: Choice of Slow Roasted Prime Rib with horseradish cream, Chicken Kalahari with artichoke cream sauce, or a Roasted Tomato Lasagna featuring eggplant and spinach.
• Dessert Trio: A decadent finish including Flourless Chocolate Cake, New York Cheesecake, and a Florentine Cup.

Guests can also participate in a silent auction and a cork pull, with music and dancing continuing throughout the night.
